The biggest threat
In the mid 1500’s Hernán Cortés landed in the new world. Seeing that he was drastically out numbered, his men asked him what they should do…”burn the boats” he said. If you have a dream, set fire to your “plan b”.
Following are some of my musings, and through the accompanying imagery hopefully they touch a cord by way of synergy.

The dance of opposites is what makes everything possible.Dark doesn’t exist without light, just as computer code needs both zeros and ones.We come to grasp, hopefully, that how we choose to usethe experiences of our past, shape who we arebut do we ever consider that the future is also calling usto who we are to become? Who we are right now…depends on both.

Be the Warriornot the worrier.Warriors are forged by the routines they keepwhen no one is watching, no one is around.A Warrior knows that it’s the balance of trainingthe body, the heart, the mind, and the soul; practices that differ for every individual, that forges their spirit. We are born to find our unique facets, and never make apologiesfor keeping them sharp;and never wait for the applause. We spend so much time, and waste so much energy analyzing, criticizing, and categorizing each other. When we are forced to be alone, we are left with the true source of our conflict and confusion…ourselves. Take the time to do what you love to do, because it’s how you handle your isolation that determines your fate.
If left unchecked, it can spread like fire…leaving us immobilized. But we are not powerless; we only need to see that the root of all dis-ease is fear. Fear only has power when we don’t face it, or can’t see it. Taking the action to face it always changes the outcome… just like Schrödinger’s cat. Advancing in the presence of fear…that’s how warriors are made.
In a TEDx ® talk I saw recently, Dr. Shimi Kang spoke about the one trait that is essential for humans to have, and to develop: Adaptability. Even so, it is arguably Humankind’s biggest weakness. We want things to stay the same. In a reality where change is the only constant, we fight, kicking and screaming, for the opposite. Take a look at anyone you admire. They rose to their level not by being free of struggle, but by being…
We always shy away from conflict. Some wars we never would have wished for. But if we can stay in the fight long enough, we would find lessons and rewards that would have been forever denied to us, if it had been left up to us.
Most of us think that if that person hadn’t said that, then I would feel better. If only those people didn’t act that way, then life would be better. Aversion to conflict is a sickness itself; not that we wish it on anyone, but how we handle it determines if we give our power away…or keep it, and grow. There will be some that say this is wrong of me to suggest, but I am not taking you’re power…you’re giving it…
In contemplating the duality of words such as “left”…which can mean both one thing and its opposite, such as “five players left, and only four were left”; it became apparent that what should STAY in our awareness, worthy of our focus and energy is important…what is left, must be what is RIGHT.
