It is common for us to tally our wins and our losses, our conquests and defeats, and it seems equally common to attribute our negatives as the result of external forces…external sources. But what is your reality REALLY? It is your interpretation…purely your own…of stimuli from life events so that you can categorize and make sense… in our own way…of the meaning of our life. We all are prone to a colossal error though; which is that our interpretation is a statement of reality, in fact it IS reality. We rarely if ever question the voracity of our interpretation itself. We are not who we are because of the sum of all of our experiences; we are who we are because of the sum of the INTERPRETATIONS of all of our experiences. Clearly, it would seem obvious that an analysis of our interpretations would bear more fruit in our quest for a meaningful life…than our cries of injustice, over which we have no control.

We so often want things to change…people to be kinder, our work to be more appreciated, our wait to be shorter. Alan Watts once commented that Blood behaves differently in a test tube than in your veins, showing that “it” and its “environment” are connected, are one. If you want to change to happen, YOU change. It starts and ends with you. If you have any control in this life, it’s over your own reaction to your environment. Being mutually connected, if you change…your environment MUST. Maybe not in the way you planned, but that’s the exciting part. Your happiness starts and ends with you.

The concept of flow is often overlooked, or misunderstood.
If you want kindness, give kindness away.
If you want abundance, give some of yours away.

We so often think in linear terms; that once we part with something, we think it’s gone forever.
The true nature of existence is cyclical; what you send out comes back. If you want happiness, it’s probably because you’re miserable, and that’s what you are sending out.

The cosmic mirror can only reflect back what you are giving, and show you who you are.
